For those of you with aftermarket rear view cameras...Where is the reverse pulse located for automatic actuation of the camera and screen. My application is the Clarion nice, and was just wondering if anyone has a breakdown for this before I get into tearing my console apart... Thanks in advance

I wish I can help you, but I did not get that far yet, I have the clarion nice, but it was installed by best buy, now am looking to buy the rear view camera and have them install it, which camera did you buy? can you post some pictures? thanks:cool:

I have yet to install the unit, but when I do I will post pictures. I am thinking of mounting it under the hitch outta view. I dont think I wanna drill into the door handle.

Nice GG... I like the guy's install on the license plate. I always go for the OEM look but I wanna make this easily reversable. By the way GG hows your nice workin...still all good? I got a real good deal on the unit...688 shipped with NAVSIR. Cant wait to install it....

Wow, that's a dran good price,especially with the navsir, I paid $599 for the NICE and $99 for the NAVSIR, you are gonna love it, very nice graphics, and the SIRIUS is awesome with this unit. the only thing left is the rear Camera for me, make sure you plug all the wires in the rear of the unit before installing the radio bezel. I rerouted all the download wires to the glove box for easy access.:cool:

I hooked up to the rear backup lights to activate the rear camera. I think you can also hookup to the wire coming out of the rearview mirror as well.

If you have the auto dimming mirror you can get it from the green wire with a white stripe. The connector is on the back of the mirror but you would probably want to make your connection in the head liner for more room / cleaner install.

green wire in driverside kick panel. it will go positive 12v when put in reverse

Thanks for all the info......Greatly appreciated. I will post pictures when I complete the install... I just hope the clarion senses the reverse trigger and powers the camera... Explanation== If I am in NAV mode and put it in reverse, the camera powers up and the display on the NICE switches sources automatically showing the rear camera view.

Can someone please tell me where to get a Stock Rear-View Camera and the Liftgate Handle for the camera.

Clarion now has a Rear Vision Camera CK525E. It comes with the Power Box and 23" Camera Cable. Anybody know anything about this product?

went to a shop to ask about a rear camera today. not to bad about 150 installed. they told me that i might need RGB box(ithink can't remeber the letters), but for all you people that have done this do the trucks come ready for they mod. they said that part would be pricey!!! told then i would ask the PROS and get back to them. they have a regular circle one and then they have the infrade one which they said would be the same price about 1 inch round. searched and could not find any post. will check interior mods. installation steps would be great if anyone has that post. 08 armada SE

Just bought a Clarion Rear Vision Camera (CK625E) ($299) which I want to add to previously installed Clarion N.I.C.E. I need help if it is okay to bore a hole at the Tailgate handle of my 2005 SE to install the camera or should I buy the Tailgate Handle with provision for camera. If so, will the Clarion camera fit into the camera slot of the Tailgate Handle? What's the Parts # of the Tailgate Handle? And where to get it? Thanks

I bought the Pioneer Avic D3 and now the duoble sided tape has worn and the camera looks like a limp (u know) hanging on the rear window. I would like to mount it where the stock camera goes but do not know if:
1. that piece (to the lift of the rear handle) is removable
2. if so, how do I do it
3. can I mount my camera at that location

Not willing to drill any hole on my Armada, I went ahead and ordered for the Tailgate handle with provision for Camera. The Clarion Rear Vision Camera fitted perfectly in the camera slot of the handle. I had to paint the handle - it came without paint. It looks so perfect and works so marvelously. I'd post the pics soon.

yeah thats what i did when i had my 06 SE. i purchased the handle from the dealer and had them paint it to match. i then installed my own camera and i posted photos of it as well...

Since we are on the topic of reverse camera's.

Anyone know what the wires on the OEM camera do. I got a camera from a wrecked Q45 and just want to test it to make sure it works.

Red - 12volt/reverse trigger?
Black - Ground

but not sure about the other two, I think one is the video+ and other is video-
just don't know which one:

White - ?
Yellow - ?
