: Stock Continental issue
bmfsapper 03-01-2007, 11:41 AM I have a 05 Mada SE with about 33000 miles on it and i was wondering if anyone knew if they come with a limited lifetime warranty like most tire you purchase. I got a Flat at about 30000 miles and the tire was considered non repairable and now have no spare. I was looking into getting some new when I read the warranty on new tires and thought to research this first. any help would be appriciated.

BlakSpyda 03-01-2007, 12:08 PM The warranty fot those tires is 12 months or 3/32 of tread wear, whichever comes first. You will not be able to get anything from them unless you just bought the vehicle from them and only if you can convince them that it was like that when you got it!
Those Continentals are only good for about 30K anyway.
Here is a downloadable copy of the warranty for the '05 just in case you want one.

Thank You for the links
Campfamily 03-01-2007, 12:49 PM I can't wait to unload these crappy Continentals and get some real tires. I'm thinking Michelin's, but I'm cringing at ~$200 a pop.

KeithI am sure the ride and responsiveness will be worth it!
ggeorgie 03-01-2007, 12:51 PM Good link from both Pops and spyda, I still have my contis on 37k, and probably still run another 10 or 15K, no much of a tread wear as of yet.
BlakSpyda 03-01-2007, 12:56 PM Some people get good life out of them, most get short lives from them though! They are alright... but not really made for this vehicle.

I've been told (have not verified and don't care to) that Conti's were the only tire available in that size when the Armada first came out. I've found GoodYear Wranglers in that size but am not sure how long they've been avail. Most places around here require special order for the stock size regardless of the brand. Personally, I'm looking forward to PRG'ing and adding some meat under the fenderwells.
ggeorgie 03-01-2007, 01:07 PM There are many good posts, here and reviews on the Michlin cross train, That will be next on my list.

I guess we read into this and kinda went off on a tangent, huhn! :D The Revos are great tires and definitely would be great as a spare!
bmfsapper 03-01-2007, 02:13 PM I wanted to get the Revo skin on all 4 and keep the best conti as a spare. I read good reviews on Revo but dont know anyone who owns them for real word opinion. Those are the only ones i was able to find that fit my off road needs and $$$ with out going into MT's and other LOUD offroad tires.
norcal05SE 03-01-2007, 11:44 PM the revo are good tires, you'll be happy with them. had a set on a cherokee i had, rode nice compared to the bfg tires i had before that. but anyone who has seen my posts on this subject knows that i hate bfg!!

TW_Mada 03-15-2007, 10:42 PM Conti's do wear in my opinion 'prematurely'. When I first got my Mada, I was getting my tires balanced more than I was my oil changed. The vehicle vibrated when you got over 65 MPH. I did not want to drive long distance at all in it. Funny thing is after I wore them half way down at about 14000 miles I got a smoother ride. I fought with the dealer and the manufacturer in the beginning with no luck. I have always been a fan of Toyo tires, Yokohama tires and Michelin. Don't know if they are made in this size and if so they are probably $$$$$$. Conti's must give deals to dealers or manufatures because my wifes Mercedes came with them and so did her moms Jag.
