:hi:

About a week ago I purchase a slightly used '05 Armada LE that has 18.5k miles on it. It's pretty much fully loaded; leather, nav, sun room, elect. tail gate, 22" rims, etc.

I bought the vehicle for my wife and have since, grown to like it very much and finding myself driving it more and more....lol

Anyhow, I've been looking over clubarmada.com for about a week learning more and more. Very informative site and I hope to be on with ya'll more often.

In the mean time, maybe someone can answer this question that I've been unable to find; the NAV system uses a DVD player that is under the passanger's seat. I've tried inserting a regular DVD movie but the display says "Disk Read Error". I was hoping to use the DVD player to hook up some additional monitors (for the rear area) to watch movies - is this possible or just a pipe dream?

Thanks and I'll try to get some pictures up by this Saturday - God permitting :)

Welcome, it's a DVD rom not player, you will need a DVD player for the monitors.

Is it possible to replace the factory DVD ROM with a DVD Player/Rom and be able to use the NAV CD?

It is possible but not if your going to keep your stock Nav. It's alot easier to buy a DVD player and mount it in your center storage bin.

welcome to CA Eddie! Esmada is correct...just get an aftermarket dvd system to run to your monitors.

Welcome aboard Eddie!!! With a Myron & Davis screen and other options, the aftermarket can be better than stock.
