I have the 2006 LE with nav and no dvd package. You can see the simple diagram i have attached for reference. I hope what I want done can be done but i have no experience in this type of system. As you can see in the diagram I wanted to place a screen in the drivers side headreast, overhead console, and passenger side head rest. I want the Nav screen to have the ability to show movies and keep the current capabilities. In the center console, between the front seats I wanted to place 2 dvd players and possibly a playstation. Now the questions:

#1. Is it possible to have the rear screens show a movie and play through headphones and have the nav screen show a different movie simultaneously and play through stock speakers or seaprate headphones (I would need a new screen up front to use headphones for the front passenger)?

That would require to dvd's so with that said could one player also show the same movie on all for screens?

#2. I've noticed some setups similar to the one i'd like (meaning with the screens in the same locations), the nav screen is somewhat darker than the others. Could another screen be placed where the OEM nav screen is with no problem?

#3. Last question...i'm traveling with my family -- the kids want to watch a movie -headphones on, my wife wants to watch a movie (front passenger w/ headphones on), and I want to listen to an audio book from the ipod through stock speakers...is this feasible?? This is ideally what we would like to do.

You would need a screen with IR capability if you want the front to use a different headphone from the rear.
You can play a different movie on the nav screen but it will not have IR capability for headphone. You would also need an AV switch.

You cannot replace the nav screen and retain all the nav. function.

I'm sure you can make it happen but would require some work. If the front screen have it's own IR for headphone it could happen.

The problem is only one DVD player can be hook up to the factory harness. I'm sure what you want can be done but I don't think it would be cheap or feasible IMO.
