This Player is a Myron & Davis AD212.

You just need the DVD Center Console Insert, OEM DVD Brackets, and a piece of installer's ABS Plastic.

The DVD Center Console Insert - Part # 96930-7S100
The DVD Right Bracket - Part # 28093-7S000
The DVD Left Bracket - Part # 28094-7S000

(The Console ran about $60.00 and the Brackets ran about $25.00)

Installer's ABS to fill in gaps - I picked up a piece from the Best Buy install dept for $5.00. They use a box knife to scar and break it, I used a Dremel to cut mine.

Wow thats a cool write up pops. So did you get rid of the oem dvd player?

Thanks Bishop!!! Never had an OEM player....

The dealer threw in an aftermarket installed by a local A/V Shop as part of the Deal when I bought the truck. The screen is M&D, the player was Boss Audio. The buttons on the player stopped working so they traded it out for the M&D AD212. They broke my Center Console while trading it out and tried to glue it back together. I was pretty ticked since I had to reassemble the console after the first install too so they told me to order replacement parts at their expense. The consoles are both the same price so I ordered the one for the DVD Player then I payed for the brackets. I'm going to follow llajumpvid's instructions for wiring into the HUD when I put it back together, so it'll be better than new when done. ;)

Good work. Looks good. The best is to look like it came with the car. That's the hardest to achieve. ;)

Looks good. I got the same DVD player without the OEM Center console. Great post (as usual) Pops!

If you decide to go this route, the Console is about $60.00 and the Brackets run about $25.00.

Welcome to the Club maysda!!!! :hi:
I got them all from a local dealership for the prices that I listed. You can compare http://www.yournissanparts.com against the local Parts Depts for your best deal.

I think I am gonna get the Myron and Davis Ans185 Nissan 8.5" monitor and dvd package. I don't see the DVD center console and brackets on www.yournissanparts.com (http://www.yournissanparts.com) and I am pretty sure my local dealership won't have those parts. Perhaps I should call that site up and inquire.

Blakspyda, how did you mount your DVD player in your center console? And what screen are you using for your Overhead?

our armada's dvd player was screwed up from the start: it has a great lcd but the dvd drive acts like its losing power, and with the dealer taking soooo long to react, would it be possible to take out the OEM, put the oem brackets and things on the aftermarket drive and "link them up" to the OEM LCD screen?
sorry to revive, but i was using the search tool.;)

... the aftermarket drive and "link them up" to the OEM LCD screen?...

No..... The Screen's power comes from the DVD Player.... You can add an aftermarket monitor to an OEM Player but you cannot run the OEM monitor from an aftermarket player. Seth figured out a way to do it but he's an electronics engineer and it requires a whole lot more than an average joe would be willing to do.

I just recently bought a Aftermarket Head Unit (DVD/CD/MP3/NAV, etc....)... My Armada has factory DVD and rear TV. I wanted the installers to hook-up my Truck so that the factory DVD player controlled the new Aftermarket HU, as well as the rear (in other words, I just wanted them to add the HU as another monitor). After sitting there all day they told me that it could not be done.....

Is that true?

They ended up wiring the HU DVD with the Factory TV in the rear, so now my OEM DVD is obsolete, and I cant use the functions of the OEM rear controls.

Yeppers, that's pretty much right.... For what you're wanting to do you'd need to replace the OEM DVD Player and overhead Monitor with an aftermarket one... Once you remove the OEM DVD Player, you'll lose the Power Source for the OEM Monitor.. I don't know if it can be done or not but it definitely won't be easy to get those overhead console buttons to work with your new HU..

Thanks Pops.....

I still have the OEM DVD player in my truck. Is there a way to get power to it? Seems like if you remove the factory Head Unit, you lose power to the OEM DVD!

I dunno, but I wouldn't count on it.... The power lines running through the OEM harnesses get a bit complicated to say the least.

This thread has me wondering...Can I put an aftermarket screen into the overhead console, and aftermarket DVD player, and use the OEM stereo controls? This would be optimal mainly to have a direct audio connection rather than a FM modulator. Someone want to let me know?

That's what I did... If yours is a 2004-2007 model, this thread is what I followed:
