Ok.....It's Sunday, football's been over, wife's at work, my 10 year old is out playing, my 4 month old is asleep, my yard is done, my cars are clean and I'm bored.

So what to post next.......How bout' seeing who's typing in this forum. Let's place a face to who's typing. I'll start so don't be shy. This is me in my typical nothing to do attire. Just hangin' out today before it's back to work Monday with a tie on.

Pretty much sums that whole part of the US. Thats why I live down here now:)

it's definitely country.....but.....I have grown to like it. People are really sweet and very laid back. the land is beautiful. Here in NY all they do is build! I hate that....all the little furry animals have NO WHERE TO GO! It makes me sad. :(

I love New York, the city and upstate. I lived in CT for about 6 years in the mid-80's to early 90's. We used to go up to Lake George in the spring- it was gorgeous! I'm in southeast Texas now which is pretty much just living in the swamps. Thinkin' of heading out to Austin where it looks a bit more scenic like New England.

Mack, I don't know if it is the camera angle but the Titan looks like the size of a small Toyota or Ranger. I guess at 6' 6" most trucks would though... :D

I'm actually and hour from NY City, I live on Long Island. It is beautiful in the suburbs, But like I said they are building way too much. The further EAST you go on the Island (toward the Hamptons) the more land you have.....it's gorgeous out east. I love going to the wineries! CT and Upstate are great....so scenic. That's how it is out East on the island.
So how do you like it in the swamps (LOL)? Are you definitely making that move to Austin?

Yeah, well first of all I don't know how to do it and secondly my husband said he didn't want me to post a picture....especially a pic of our son. He's a bit paranoid, I kind of don't blame him....you never know if there is a psycho lurking in the Club Armada site. If you tell me how to do it, maybe I'll just post a pic of me.

Just hit the new reply and scroll down to the "manage attachments" button. It will open a browser and then just select the photo from your computer that you want to upload.....

I agree with your husband on not wanting to put your son's photo up. Not that I'm worried about the current club members having a screw loose but the internet is too big not to worry about some sicko stumbling upon it...that and you are from the northeast and the sickos are highly concentrated up in them parts of the country :nana: :)

Yup.. I'm a mommy of 2. A son and a daughter. Just like you, not sure I am comfortable posting pics of the kids. You just never know these days. As far as myself, I live in southern California. I am just your basic California girl.....except for the blonde hair and blue eyes. HA HA ;) I have brownish red hair with green eyes. Basically, to give you an idea, everyone tells me that I look like Gillian Anderson (A.K.A- Agent Scully from the TV show the X-Files. :) As far as our Armada, it is just a Silver 2004 SE model. The only thing we have added so far is a chrome grill. It looks great though. We love it!

Ya know, after I wrote that....about pics of your kids.....My husband said I was crazy because no one should post kids pics. He doesn't want me to post any pics of my son either. Can't blame him and don't blame you either. Sorry I asked......WHAT WAS I THINKING! :crikey:

I remember you posting pics of your boy on the net...I thought he was adorable. You can do what you want. This is just my opinion along with a few others. Some of us feel you JUST NEVER KNOW. Not sure how CRAZY PEOPLE DO WHAT THEY DO or how they do SICK things VIA internet....you just never know.

EXAMPLE: What if someone took that pic of your BOY and made some changes on the picture AND now it is floating in CYBER SPACE and not only on the ARMADA SITE....WOULDN'T YOU BE PISSED? Even though it was something as small as that?

I know where you're coming from. I am so protective of my kids that I think I'm getting obsessive about shielding them. I got the Armada largely wanting a big heavy track based vehicle to drive them around in.
But I've always wondered if posting pics was bad in anyway.

Well, my thoughts are this..... you just never know! Better to be safe than sorry... ect ect. There are a lot of bored people in this world that can take a picture and impose another on it making the picture seem to be a different scenario. I do a little graphic arts myself, and trust me. You can take an innocent picture of a person standing there smiling and turn it into something totally perverse. Anyway....as far as those that have blogs with pics of their familes, I think that is cool. I mean they are giving out the website to whom they want to view it. I have a website as well. I post pics of my family on it for friends and family members, not in the area, to keep updated on our lives. I just have a password for people to gain access to the site. This way, only the people I want to view the site, actually get to. :p

In addition to the ability to screw with the pictures (pun intended) What if some weirdo was "shopping for a kid" sees your kids picture and likes what he sees, does some simple searching on the internet, maybe as simple as a quick google he's got your home address....

Ohh .. with due respect to the mommies .. I'm a Daddy .. 4x and w/2 (almost 3) grandkids .. I agree w/the ideal of limiting posting pics of kids .. its a sad comment on society today, but thats the way it is.

I'm also a webmaster (ZONC) .. and I try NOT to post pics of the membership "children" .. (sometimes, they just sneak in the shots) nor do I identify the women or children (ever) by name (unless given specific permission by those in the photographs).
