For all the San Diegans out there that would like to get this done please respond to this thread or PM me because I found someone that works for Nissan at Orange County that can get this done. I'm trying to get a head count to see how many people here wants, can and will get this done to be able to send him here (SD) to get this done for $25. He says he's willing to drive down and get all of us done on a SUNDAY after Memorial day. So this is a good opportunity and great enough of him. Let me know guys!

AND welcome to all the new Armada owners out there! Enjoy this forum and it's great members!

I also bought the Injen, modified headlight housing with HIDs, and OEM fog lights and will be ordering the Borla but I haven't had time to install. I'll prolly do the install in about 2 weeks so i'm excited just hadn't find the right time. I'll definitely post on the performance.

Hey San Diegans! I worked out a deal with Tazs and it looks like we are set for June 17, Saturday, at 10-11am. I don't have an exact location yet but i'm looking at possibly Mission beach where it's easy to find. Any suggestions? Bring your trucks and $25 if you want your 2* timing advance done or to just come out and check out others. Please respond to this thread or PM me so we'll have an idea as to how many WILL come.

By the way, there really is a difference. It's like the truck can breathe better. Now i've got a heavy foot :D

I would be interested, but advancing the timing for what?? To race the kids on the side streets in our 5400 pound monstosity with 75 pound tire and wheel combos?? I keep it on the freeways. Our cars are heavy and slow. Titan members might be interested though. They have a better fighting chance lol.

I spend my daily commute in freeway stop and go and am using a little less pedal and getting a little better mpg's as long as I keep my foot out of it.

I didn't get mine done for racing. I know it's heavy and slow. I would've otherwise gotten an m3 or something along that lines if I wanted to race. I did it to eliminate the hesitation.

I love it Pops! I'm glad I got it done. But again I don't race, i'm one of those people on the go right here and right NOW! I'm just waiting patiently to get the Injen installed and i'm about to purchase either Gibson or Borla. I'm taking it to Lawton in 3 months where there's really not much "speed" in that city anyway.

Pops
05-24-2007, 03:54 PM
It's like you said, if you wanted speed, it'd be an M3. Less hesitation and less pedal were the bonuses for me.

Depends on what TYPE of speed you want. Block to block or high end. I like the freeway myself, but not in stop and go traffic. Definatly the m3 is not block to block.

I'm sorry where does it say in the thread that i modify "in case i need to race"? Please do a thread search on all my posts and I stand corrected if there is an indication that I do it to race :)

OK so here it is for those wanting to get 2*timing advance by Tazs

17June2007 1000 (!)-1100 (?)
*please be prompt as other people may use the lot*
Mission Bay, San Diego
$25 cash
Directions:

From 5 North:
1. take 5 South
2. Exit off Clairemont Dr./ E. Mission Bay Dr.
3. Left from ramp
4. Quick Right to Mission Bay
5. Pass the first parking lot on your left, Pass the boat ramp
6. Left on the next smaller parking lot straight after the boat ramp

From 5 South:
1. Take 5 North
2. Exit off Clairemont Dr./ Mission Bay Dr.
3. Left from ramp
4. Right to Mission Bay
5. Pass the first parking lot on your left, Pass the boat ramp

If you pass a sign that says "De Anza Cove" and a stop sign you've gone too far. Make a u-turn and you'll see a smaller parking lot on the right side right after the De Anza Cove parking lot. These lots can be seen from the freeway. It's easy access.

Although I may not be able to make it, hope everyone that wants to go makes it there. And remember to be prompt! PM me for any questions.

Ok I'm in. Put me on the list. See you all there. So this will be also like a quick meet? Nice. I think the only one I've met in person is BRE...Sweet. Yeah for those who don't like to race or get out of traffic jams or hate being in back of grandma....I want it done for that purpose. I had enough of this slow-bottom end nonsense. I have this ride for a purpose, it's a Nissan, it's got over 305hp bonestock, yeah it's heavy, so what that's my baby. Alot people want to pick on her because they are just intimidated by her V8ness and she's Japaneseness. Some lose, some win and alot of my opponents are cars go figure. One thing I know....people still get out of her way....(2* timing a cheap trick known to all car enthusiast)...How can you even compare an M3 with an Armada? Doh...Iv's seen alot of Titans smoke alot of cars on that Youtube stuff. Can you imagine a dropped Mada all decked out with ported head, bored out pistons, nonturbo, headers, intake, exhaust? I have yet to see that but when you do...the Mada. Anyways before I start even dreaming of waking up the beast let me meet you guys at Mission Beach...10-11am right? See you there.

I have the first gen motor. I will see on my dyno results next month. I have the JBA Headers, exahust, 2 degree, tb, air, voltage stablilzer, tb bypass. I will be happy if I get it to 305 at the wheels. Dyno dont lie. Yes, I can keep the hemi in my sights, but its always a good race.
