I installed the Volant CAI with a Banks Monster catback and after 500 miles the "Service Engine Soon" light came on. I read the code and it is code P0455: Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (gross leak).. Has anyone had this problem?? I triple checked all of the connections at the CAI and everything is fine. I was gonna take it in to the dealer under warranty since I bought the thing a week ago but am not sure if they will not cover it under warranty b/c of the CAI and catback...

Check to see that your fuel tank cap is tightened properly. You must rotate it until it starts to "click".
A loose cap will throw this code.
You will have to drive for a time before the code clears.

This has been a problem for me in my Mazda lately. I have noticed a lot of cars in my neighborhood with their gas doors open every morning, mine included. I was pretty pissed at first because I though someone was steeling gas. After a couple of weeks though, I realized that I was not missing any gas and there doesn't seem to be any unsavory additives in my tank. I think it's just some kids in the neighborhood messing around. One of the side effects is the "check engine" light.

I'm thinking of getting a locking gas cap. I don't want to wait and see if this prank gets malicious.

A locking cap is a necessity in Chicago. ;)

yeah thanks for the input... i did some google'n last nite and found the gas cap being the main cause of this... i checked this am and sure enuf... light went off after 5 miles.... thanks for the help guys... i am glad that I dont have to get rid of the mods...
