This is the 4th time in about two years that my card number has been stolen. The last time I started using these "Virtual" card numbers from Citibank. It is a program that generates a random cc number that you can use at online merchants and once it is used it can only be used for that merchant. You can also limit the expiration and limit of the card. I figured I was safe.
Well, another call from Citibank today and it turns out the card was stolen again from some girl who tried to setup a Yahoo account. I asked them who it was and they said "We cannot give out that information as it is in violation of our security policy"!
So basically you can steal my credit card, get all my personal information, but I have no right to find out who you are. Unbelievable.
Meanwhile, I work, I pay my taxes, and I get a speeding ticket the other day. This seems fair. Good thing I picked the wrong side of the law to live on.
