Fathers day is coming up and what better gifts to ask on modifying my mada performance. I like the sale price on the gibson exhaust. I was wondering, what CAI would work good in combination with the gibson exhaust? Can you also give me some numbers on th HP increase. I will get my mada dyno'd prior to install and then do a follow up after.

Thanks

There's a few good one on the market. S&B seems to be the latest with all the rave. Off course Volant have been around with good track record. Injen is nice too if you're willing to fork out the extra $$ for it.

personally, i would go with the AEM since it's comparable in price to other brands, and the filter is dry (no oil needed). yeah, you could swap out any filter with any other intake, but just my $0.02.

ah, what you pay for in a name... It's actually one of the cheapest ones I've seen. $218 at a Nissan dealer by me here in LA. Most of the others I see in the $260-$280 range.

Injen I wouldn't touch... not happy with the company, a personal thing.

Or you can spend $20 more on an S&B and get a true CAI. The Volant and S&B are sealed units that pull air from outside of the engine bay only. Most of the others like K&N, NISMO, etc are open units and pull some air from inside the engine bay as well as from outside the engine bay so you do not get the full benefits of a true Cold Air Intake unit, if there are any. If I were to drop that kind of cash on a CAI, I would want the coldest air that I could get to. ;)
