Let's see how many people who purchased a warranty for their Armada are happy they did.

Might give us all some insight...

Thanks!

Had plenty of vehicles that mechanically went South after the warranty was up and nickled and dimed me to death. I believe in warranties for expensive vehicle purchases.

Its cheaper to get warranty than to pay for something that goes wrong in the long run.

Need to add "don't know yet" on your poll, for those of us still under factory warranty. I'm at 21,000 miles, no problems yet. I bought the 75K warranty, and I'm hoping that I wasted my money.

I usually never get them as I never have had a vehicle I wanted to keep longer than the factory warranty or if it was going to be modified out of warranty.
But with the Armada that we plan to keep it sounded like a good deal.
Most of these new cars have everything computer controlled and almost everything cost an arm and a leg to fix. Not too mention vehicles now adays are getting alittle harder to repair than before.

Back in the day I could get in there with the best of 'em and do my own repairs, todays mechanics have their work cut out for them.

Isn't that the truth! I used to like fixing my cars. Now all I can do is mess with accessories and stuff. From what I read, today's cars are supposed to be more reliable. My 05 Armada has been doing fine, but if it broke down I'd probably have to make my wife get a second job to pay for the repairs. :D

Yeah, my father is a master mechanic... has been working on cars for 40+ years. Even HE gets concerned when dealing with ECU's, electronics, and "newer" repairs on new vehicles.

His advice is the best I've ever heard when it comes to working on a car or truck... "Don't start working on a vehicle you don't know anything about until you consult someone who's worked on it before".

And to answer the question... I bought the highest possible warranty - 7 year/100,000 mile. I've been burned in the past and the amount of the warranty couldn't come close to what I had to pay on the last piece of crap I owned.

I think it's hilarious when dealers quote prices for repairs that exceed the entire value of your vehicle itself.

Safety, security, and piece of mind are priceless.

We will be buying our plan soon, I'm planning on getting the 100k full coverage. We did on my wifes Intrepid, and it has paid off twice over. The "part swappers" (Dodge doesn't use mechanics any more) replaced the steering rack & pinion, speed sensors, and a handful of other things, and it turned out to be a smaller, inexpensive fix. MOPAR My Only Problems Are Repairs. I love the car, but pride in workmanship seems to have taken a backseat.
