As a result of "winning" the top prize at the Elk Grove BBQ/Picnic held 5-19-07, I'm "on-tap" for putting together the NEXT picnic. The question?

Have another picnic THIS year, or wait? I'm told that LAST year, there were a total of (3) three picnics.

IF I set one up, and I'm seeking Club Armada's interest level. My schedule won't allow me to do this until August 2007.

I'm trying to set up a poll w/the following choices.

1) HOLD OFF until NEXT YEAR

2) August 4th (Sat)

3) August 11th (Sat)

4) August 25th (Sat)

Is it the picnic/bbq that is the concern?

Maybe the prospects of bringing something to "share" is a challenge? (Questions of: What to bring? How much to bring? etc ..)

Maybe it's the location? Elk Grove Park has been mentioned because of its SIZE (lots of room) and FREE and easy access. If you have an alternate location, please suggest it!

The idea of a picnic is to open it up as a "family activity" vs a hardcore truck meet. At all the events I've attended, I bring my family. (At the last picnic, there was 1-other family attendee). I bring "stuff" for the famliy to enjoy .. and divide my time between "entertaining them" .. and the "group".

I personally want to see more Armada's at these events ..
