I have a 2007 Armada and I took my vehicle in for service and they performed a new recall dealing with the FAN and MOTOR Assembly and the HARNESS SUB. Check it out with you nearest Nissan Service Dept.

That's great that they are taking care of it. The recall isn't published yet. I get,
No recalls information is available for this vehicle at this moment.
and
Clean Record - No Recalls for this vehicle.
Congratulations! Based on our sources, the 2007 Nissan Armada does not have any reported recalls

A recall, or a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB)? Big difference.

There is only one recall for the '06.

I had it done back in April '06.

Oh yeah, that was a TSB not a recall. TSB #NTB07-027.

On the service request form from Nissan, it says "RECALL TTN ARM COND FAN P7215 INSTALL JUMPER HARNESS AND FAN MOTOR ASSY"

I got the same thing on my 07. It says that the AC cooling fan wiring may have been installed backwards causing the fan to pull the air from the condenser instead of pushing. Ill try to scan it or take pics.

TSB, Recall, Hell, it's all good as long as they took care of it. Sounds like Nissan is doing a voluntary recall if they found out it is more prevalent and want to get it before it becomes a NHTS recall.

I"ve had them do TSBs without asking. They did my brakes with the new parts twice. Not turning them, new rotors and pads. They put them on a second time at 30k when the first set was worn out. :D

It is not a recall, it is a TSB.

With all of the driving we have been doing with no problems I didn't see the need to get this done as quickly.
But today the engine temp was raising while sitting at the McDonalds drive thru. Went all the way to the H part of the gauge. A/C never got as cold as it usually did. While sitting in line the engine hesitated slightly and the brake pedal sank alittle..I thought that was weird!
Everything went back to normal after we started driving again. Temps dropped very quickly.
Wife just now told me that it did this the other day to her.
So looks like I'll be calling to get this fixed sooner than I thought.

This affects only some of the 07s. No others have the problem.

How can you tell if you need it done? My A/C temp is good, but the fan speed is whimpy.

I hate to go to the dealer if I don't have to. Since they had the VIN on my notice, does that mean that I definitly have the issue?

No, it means that there is a higher probability than normal that you have it because they narrowed it down to production runs that include yours. I would take it in.

is this the recall for the noisy fan that sounds like rattling like a diesel engine??

I didn't hear any noise...it was just something that got fixed while I was taking it in for something else.

I had mine done. Now the fan sounds wimpy when you stand in front of the truck. Didn't help speed up the air flow inside or the temp. I don't think it's as cold as it should be.

Nissan is committed to providing the highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction. We know that towing a trailer may have been an important consideration in the customer's purchase decision. In new Titan, Armada, Frontier, Pathfinder, and Xterra vehicles, Nissan recently introduced enhanced electronic circuitry which may help further protect a vehicle from damage or fire caused by a short circuit in the electrical system of a towed trailer due to problems with the trailer’s wiring or mis-installation of trailer lighting or electrical accessories. Nissan is making this production enhancement available to owners of previously purchased vehicles so that they will have the same protection should they ever tow a trailer with a defective electrical system.

Yep, they fixed it no problem, But that burnt wire smell is still in the truck. I think I have used 2 bottles of Fabreeze , but it is still there.

Try Pet Butler BigGuy!!! My wife is a clean freak fanatic and cannot tolerate any odors. We've tried everything and nothing works like Pet Butler. It is "Da Bomb" for killing ANY odors.

It was originally designed for Cigar and Cigarette Smoke but became more marketable to Vetrenarians for Pet Odors and I haven't seen anything else like it. :D

I'm glad you mentioned about how loud the fan can be, because I just noticed that also the other day and was wondering if that was normal, so now I know it's not just me.

I once had a cat spray in my vehicle and I believe I used something like described above. It sure did the trick after countless remedies that didn't work.
