Does anyone know where I can buy the chrome or the stainless steel bug shield for the hood? Thanks

I thought about that bug sheild, but for my tastes, it's borderline tacky. Once you get some much chrome on the vehicle, some things are just too much.

Also, somethig else that crossed my mind was the possibility of reflection. I am sure that thing has the possbility of blinding you or other drivers very easily.

JMO...

BTW, I see a pattern here Pops. LOL I'll be sure to check out that site before asking any mod questions from now on. :D

Hahahaha!!! Jason Burtman is just usually GREAT to deal with and stands behind his products. YourNissanParts has taken awhile to respond to members sometimes but the discount prices are supposed to be really good.

I have one of those shields and I love it. Then again, I am totally a bling kinda guy. At the same time, i have limits. the shiled looks awesome and there aren't any reflection problems. It is not chrome on the side that faces the driver. It is a more matt finish. So you will never get a reflection problem from it. Now you might blind the rest of the world....but not yourself. LOL

But all kidding aside....the shield sort of points up anyway, so blinding on coming traffic is unlikely too.

It certainly does. Sell it cheap, ain't no one with money going to buy that.

Got mine from Burtman. Looks and works great. The only problem I had was the fasteners. They come with these expanding rubber plugs which suck. I used clips and it worked great. Also, they use black plastic push plugs on the two edges. Stainless screws and clips are now there so you don't see the black on the chrome.

I've sold a ton of these. It just flows good with the trucks lines, it doesn't over-do it.

Well, considering that your Mada is one that's at the top of the list for the next Mada of the Month, I don't think you have anything to worry about Doc. Don't let one opinion spoil anything, it's just too much "bling" for him. Everyone has their bling limit somewhere, his is just earlier than ours. No biggie.
:noworries

BTW: I love the prescription you always give out. :D

I have as much bling as anyone and have more on the way  That chrome bug shield was the 2nd thing I looked for. I really don't care if anyone else likes it. In fact the fewer people who do the same, the more rare my Mada is. :fantastic

But that guy didn't attack anyone's vehicle specifically. He just gave his opinion, which is OK too. The word tacky may have been a bit strong, but again, he didn't put down anyone's rig, so who cares? But we all should be sensitive when we start putting down things that other people may like and may have on their truck. :goteam:

All I wll say is I probably sell more chrome bugshields than any other item right now. I think it's because you can put it on a bone stock truck, and it flows well, or you can put it on a modded truck and it flows well.

No need to get your panties in a bunch. I just happen to think some things look tacky and "ricer". For instance, chrome fender and door trim. I see that all day driving through the inner city, so it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

IMO, it's all about balance. Balancing out the chrome and accessories, not drowning out the car with them. It's just my opinion. I don't want to take this argument to another level and try to respect the board and its' members, so I will just leave the rest of the comments alone.

Fair enough....so post a picture of your Mada. Some of us don't get to the outer city very often. We would like to see how dem civilized folk do it so we can improve ourselves.

(I took no offense by what was said in the 1st place. But it's not always what one says that delivers a message....it is how he says it.)

Are we now going to play battle of the wits now? My Armada is currently stock. It only has 1200 miles on the clock.

I don't get it...I think it looks tacky, some people just need to take opinions with a grain of salt. Why is this still being discussed?

Also, I was not being a smart *** in the first place. I simply stated I felt it looked tacky, then "Doc" replies with "He's right, my truck looks tacky.... Think I'll sell it." THAT was the first smart *** comment made, which started the childish bickering.

I had responded, but thought better of it. Suffice to say U don't have to use words like tacky or refer to the inner city like its a disease if you just want to say that you don't care for a particular product or style. Its one thing to say you don't like something and another to put it down. If this doesn't make sense, I give up.

The first smart azz comment was chrome guards are tacky. If you would have use proper judgement and stated I do not like the chrome guards then nobody would be playing battle of the wits with you.

Besides, from what I have gathered from you comments I would not call it a battle, you need worthy competition to call it a battle, it’s more like play time at the zoo.

Tacky: not tasteful or fashionable; dowdy; in poor taste; vulgar; crass of poor quality; cheaply made; shoddy; shabby:

If you did not know, dowdy means “fuddy duddy” To call one a dowdy is in the same as a smart azz.

YOUR CONTEMPTUOUS REMARK WAS UNCALLED FOR.

U guys chill. U swear its the fist time someone has stated a strong opinion. Remember we got TripleBlack here with every other post being pretty strong. Sometimes not making sense but most of the time does. We all got over him and his hate for big wheels so I think we can get over this. I dont know if I think its tacky but do think its a bit much, period.
