I called Les Schwab and asked ho much and how long to do this install. Les Schwab is a huge chain in the NW. He said about $150 and 2-hours. So either they don't know what they are doing, or the $35-$50 install price quoted in other threads is drastically understated.

Any comments? How long should this install take? Anyone have a muffler chain or shop to recommend for this?

it depend on what your are doing. Custom work, bending of pipes or did you buy the kit? or just a straight swap of the exsisting muffler? If it is a straight swap it should only take 1 to 2 hours. there is minimal welding involed. providing all your pipes are the same size.

This is a straight swap of the muffler like discussed in other threadds here. I was told they would cut out the old and weld the new and that is should cost $50 at most. With average labor rates a 1-2 hour job will most likely cost more than $50. Who has done this mod? How much for the install?

mine was a complete swap i bought the 3 inch madrel bends and muffler system and they had to do custom work as well. if i were to swap the muffler only they would charge me 1.5 hours

i paid $100 for the magnaflow swap. It took 2 hours. Better than me on my back for 2 days.
