How Liberal are you… REALLY
A college aged girl coming home from Florida State was sitting with her father on the front porch.
“Daddy, you have built yourself a great business haven’t you.”
“Why yes honey, why do you ask?”
“Well Daddy, since we are so well off, why are you not paying more money to the government to help all the needy people.”
“Well Dear, I do pay my taxes, plus I donate to several charities also.” Her father says with a slight bit of distain.
“But Daddy,” the daughter, now pushing more, “The Democrats say that you should pay even more money. They call it Redistribution of Wealth.”
Father now, quite upset at his daughter, but staying calm; “Honey, you worked really hard this year in college, didn’t you?”
“Yes I did”
“And what was your Grade point average”
“4.0”
“Did you sacrifice a lot to get that grade?” Her father asked with a gleam in his eye.
“Daddy you know I did. I didn’t work, or party, or spend any money at all. I spent all my free time studying to be sure I got the best grades possible.” The daughter said with a smile.
“So you are happy with the results of all your hard work?”
“Of course”
“How about your room mate, Jill, how well did she do”
The daughter looked at her father and said; “Oh! She partied, and drank and worked a lot, had lots of fun, Lucky her!”
“But what was her Grade Point Average?” Her father asked.
“Jill got a 2.0, not so good.”
“Well then, since Jill did not do so well,” Her father started, “Don’t you think that since you got a 4.0, that you should give her one of your points, so that you both have a grade point average of 3.0?”
“No Way!!” The daughter started to say; “I worked to Damn hard and sacrificed a lot for my grades, why should I give part of my grades to Jill, who didn’t work as hard as I did!!!”
The father smiled and said:
“Welcome to the Republican Party”
