I had Uprev tune my armada on 87 octane back in Dec. I ran it for a week or two in town but the mileage I was getting with it was worse than my stock tune so I just ran the stock map until I needed it at a light or on ramp. Anyway I just completed a 1260 mile trip to florida going down I10 this last week. I had about 600lb of cargo and a roof top cargo box. The first 250 miles I ran the stock map with a average speed of 65. The NAV was showing 15.5mpg, I switched to the 87 tune but ran it with 89octane. the Nav was reading between 16 and 17 for the rest of the trip. I ran the actual number and the overall average was 15.5.
It doesn't sound like an improvement but all the miles on the tuned map were 75-80 with a lot of non-cruise control driving due to traffic, drive thru idleing, looking for a decent hotels, plus the drive home had a slight headwind. With all the extra weight and wind drag I'm happy with the 15.5 as that was what I usually get with no load or wind drag.

I'm going to drive this week with the tune and 89 octane to see if the extra octane helps with the mpg I was seeing after I first got the tune.
