I check Burtmann Industries frequently for new performance parts for my 04 Nissan Armada and I've been in the market for a performance exhaust for a while now. I noticed they carry the JBA Evol S/S Exhaust System and I was wondering if anyone had tried this particular system. I've listened to the sound clip on the JBA website and it sounds awesome on the Titan. I'm looking for performance, but I don't want to deal with alot of cabin noise. Thanks in advance for your feedback...

This system has proved itself to be one of the best performing system you can get.

I had one for about a year. Lots of drone and a cheap glass pack sound. You will feel a significant power gain though. I swapped the muffler out a few months ago for the new Flowmaster Super 44. Better sound and maybe even more power. It still drones me to death but the overall sound is awesome. The muffler used on the JBA is stamped K&N. I've been told that they provide them to JBA and that they don't make them either??? Kind of confusing. Anyway, they are still the conventional, straight through fiberglass packed muffler. I would say swap it out for a Magnaflow of 3 chamber Flowmaster if you want it more mellow. Keep in mind not every truck sounds the same. I do not have a CAI, just a K&N replacement ,that will make a difference in sound. Just my 2 cents. I'll try to post some sound clips of my set-up this weekend.

i get way to many mixed thoughts on the jba... i was set on it when a few people said it was not much louder than stock then everyone jumped in and said its wayyyyyyyyy louder... i have no one local to listen to these exhausts and sound clips just dont do it imo they just cant get the real sound through...
id love a final and def answer to really how loud it is compared to stock..
i need one similar to stock unless i romp on it but i really like the power gains of the jba system compared to others.. i can get magnaflow systems all day from my distributor but i want a full system not a half *** one (no offense to those that have it) i dont want nor need to be cutting up my stock pipes in case i want to put it back on.. they could have simply just finished it imo

If you want a quality system that will provide some gains but not be too loud the Gibson Siingle is probably the best. It is not much louder than stock, has a straight thru muffler that is not packed, so there is nothing to burn out. The Gibson will "sound off" some at WOT, but at light throttle and highway speeds it is similar to stock.

Thanks to all that replied regarding the JBA exhaust. I have an AEM CAI and I love the throttle response and the sound at WOT, so I definately wanted to be careful when I decided on what aftermarket exhaust to put on it. I've heard nothing but GREAT things about the Gibson Single and I heard it gave a nice deep sound, but it wasn't too much louder than stock. Once again, I appreciate all your input. I'll probably get the Gibson...
If you haven't done it, you should consider getting your Timing Advance done too. It's in the 'How To' section.

some ways to help reduce and possibly eliminate drone noise is to have the pipes welded. the JBA exhaust system, Gibson and the costly Volant exhaust uses U-clamps to connect the corresponding pipes as opposed to welded flanged ends. when the U-clamps aren't bolted down evenly, it'll leave an opening which causes and increase drone noise. a second option is to install a larger resonator if its still not up to par.
