...to have the itch to mod/upgrade/fix up your car?!?

My husband has always been trying to get me as interested in cars as much as him. He's fixed up his Acura Integra, his Nissan Maxima and now his '04 G35. It's not that I was never interested in it or didn't appreciate the time/$$ put into fixing up cars, it's just that I never had my own car to do things to.

My parents basically bought me my car (2002 Honda Civic) and when I moved out they just put the title in my name. I love the car, don't get me wrong, but I think it's because it was not my choice of vehicle and I didn't put in my own hard earned money into it I knew I would eventually get what I wanted for myself when the time was right. I figured when I bought the car I wanted, I would get into fixing it up.

Now that the hubby and I have the Mada and we're going 1/2 each on it, and now I'm on Club Armada and have been reading all the stuff in the forums, I'm begining to see how he has that itch to change things and add things on it.

Wow...I'm kinda scared cause this is an expensive hobby to have!!! I have a family to take care of!!:crikey:

(but it's a good feeling to have) - Maybe one day we can enter the Mada into a show!

It's all about having a vehicle that you care about enough to fix up. I've been through a lot of vehicles and only fixed up the Sports Cars and 4x4s because quite frankly, the others just didn't matter.

Here is where an extreme case of the itch can get to if you're not careful. :D

I think I scratched about all of the itches I need for now here! Hahahaha! Still a few ideas, but not as urgent an itch as it was for me last year!

My thoughts exactly! I was actually stressed out last summer trying to keep up with all of the things I wanted to do to my truck:eek:

I'll go for it after we get the new puppy, I celebrate my birthday, buy a new family living room set, a desk, new garage door, patio furniture......................................... .................................................. .......I wish all I had to worry about was what I wanted to do to the Mada...

I'll get there!
