Ok guys/gals... I did a few searches and could not find anything. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Anyhow, so it seems that you all are seeing gains on the advance timing bit. What I'd like to know are the downside, if any in doing so. Sorry, I'm new to this all... and want to know what I'm getting myself into.

-Does this add additional wear and tear on the car, parts, etc...?
-How does this effect fuel consumption?
-Does this advance, require that I have to run a higher grade of fuel?

My opinion right after I had it done:
I took it out on some back roads (paved) and can consistantly lay a small stream of rubber. I also noticed that if I can stick to my current driving habits, I'm giving it less gas to accelerate. Money well spent!
