Also, why does your warranty expire at 30K? The manufacturer warranty is supposed to expires at 36K.

Your warranty is good until 36k miles....engine/transmission is good for 60k miles.

As for spending $1,000: Yikes! Never let the dealership tell you what needs serviced. They make a lot of money by charging for simple things that probably don't even need to be accomplished. Take a look at you owner's manual, and ONLY do the items it says at the intervals stated. Anything "extra", and you're padding the dealership's pockets.

if i need a $1k serivce ill trade cars.

Isuzu tried that crap with me, it will be $3000 ever 15K miles to keep your warranty. I said look, I paid $16K for the trooper, and drive 60K miles a year. Thats 4 services at $3k - $12,000 in service on suv i paid $16K for... You have lost your mind. She said " if it has a problem we will not cover it under warranty sir" ( insert mean old lady attitude here) I looked at her and said, Are you retarded, for the $12K i saved by not doing the serivces i can just about buy a hold damn new suv "if" this one breaks................... 71K miles later trans died.... And they put a new one in no question ask and they didnt even ask for paper work...

Well thats nice to know!! :) Yea.. I didnt know exactly how much it would be.. I just knew it would be an arm and a leg. I use to have a Mercedes CLK before this so I was kind of use to the sky high bills. But thats good to know because my seats rattle more than you could ever imagine. I just haven't taken it to the dealer because I have 3 12" subs in the back and I know they will just end up blaming it on the subs! BTW Im loving your display picture Eurohazard!! This is going to be another fun season!!
-Cheers!

Oh yeah....Go Seahawks! I was born near Oakland, but grew up in and around Seattle. So I have always been fond of the Raiders and Seahawks. You could imagine the hell I got from folks up in SeaTown as a kid! (Back in the day they were AFC West rivals) ;)

Took it in to the dealer yesterday - for $550, got:
- oil/filter change (used Royal Purple 5W30, Amsoil nano filter)
- transfer case fluid change (Nissan D Matic)
- transmission flush and fill (Nissan J Matic) - was a $200 service in itself
- fluid change on the differentials (Royal Purple 75W140)
- coolant system flush and fill

Can certainly feel a difference in the transmission - silky smooth shifts. Overall, seems to run quieter and cooler - just my perception. Yeah, I could have saved some money getting some of the stuff done myself, but chose to avoid the time/effort this time.

Is there anything else I need to do at the 30K mark?

Plan to get Jason's HID lights next (soon).

Check that out.. I guess thats it. I will let you know when i get mine done which should be soon.
