Hi all,

I know a couple of you have installed your own dvd system in your Armada and I have a question about it. I'm planning on installing 2 headrest monitors, dvd player, video signal booster, pie-inline amp and a 7" vga touchscreen; the question I have is how would you get power to these units? Would you run a 4-gauge wire from the battery to a power distributor or can I tap into an existing power cable? Do I need to have a current regulator as well for the screens?

Guys - correct me if I am wrong, but you can tap the cigarette lighters for the power. I am looking to do this as well.

I know you don't need to run a new wire from the battery. You should be fine tapping the Cig lighter. I pulled power from the factory DVD prewire I had available. You might pick a couple of different wires if you have a lot connected to it.
