Has anyone installed daytime running lights on their truck? Was it easy? Where did you get the kit?

I usually just turn my light on all the time. However, if you decide to use the Auto position on your light switch, all you have to do is cover the sensor with dark tape to have daytime running lights. -OR- find a kit!

Doesn't the light sensor also work with the automatic climate control?

Not sure about that, but just because you cover it with tape it should not affect the ability to sense temperature. Just light.

I think it is the light that it is sensing (ie: more sunlight = more cold air).

I like the idea though!

Hell, give it a try, you can always remove the tape if it doesn't work or just sit a hat on it. Anything to cover the sensor.

Normally I would assume that you have DRL since you are in Canada. I guess your truck was purchased in the US.

Yes, I just bought it and am in the process of converting it to Canadian Specs.

The local dealership said it was a labour intensive job which involved hunting down the right wire to splice into.

I searched the forums here and saw a kit and wondered how involved putting a kit in would be.
