I have been searching but haven't came up with anything that pertains to the factory DVD player only the factory wiring. If I want to take the A/V signal from the factory DVD player in the console, and send it to a aftermarket NAV/TV in the front can it be done? I know its a matter of finding the right connection point on the DVD player. Thanks for all the help in advance. **Please see page 2 for pictures of connectors**

I read through the post I am still a little confused, I just need to know where the video signal can be found for the stock player and how can you tap into it. I know there is a shield on the normal RCA video signal and the actual signal itself. Any help would be apperciated. Thanks

I have a post around someplace in the How-To section which shows how to install the NavandTV2Go device, which calls for tapping those wires.

You'll have to splice into both the + and -. On the RCA cable, the center wire is NEGATIVE and the outside wire is POSITIVE.

I only tapped one wire... don't remember if I was lazy or just clueless... but seems to work fine for me.

Interesting... You must have tapped the positive and somehow the negative got grounded somewhere somehow.

Well I tried to connect the wires but its not working for me. on the blue harness the Black and white wire (positive wire connects to outside of RCA) is pin 10 and 12 which one do i use? Also pin 11 is the green/yellow wire ..is that the neg wire which connects to the - RCA (center). I have a 2006 armada any help would be apperciated. Thanks

The Blue wire is your negative that needs to go to the RCA Center wire. If you're on the harness directly behind your player, the Black/White is a single wire (only 1 pin) that's striped with both colors and is your positive that should be connected to the RCA outside wire.

I'm pretty sure the Power to your Monitor needs to be supplied seperately because I think the voltage is different for the OEM screen.

Thanks for the information but where whould I find the negative Blue wire? I have the unit exposed and I am making connections right under the DVD player. Also on the Blue harness connector there are 2 balck/white striped wires on there, whould you happen to have a wiring diagram of the harness on the back of the player so I know which one to connect to. Otherwise where do you recommend to get the signal from? I saw the attached wiring diagram on this post but dont know the exact location to find that connector. Thanks

Here's the diagram with the Harnesses added on below. If you've got only 16 pins, it sounds like you might be in Harness M206 (Blue) directly behind the Player. There are only 16 Pins, but they are numbered higher. Here's the schematic, look at the upper-right harness in the bottom of this pic, does that sound like what you are seeing? Pins Black/White (23) & Blue (24) should be in the middle of the harness with the Blue (24) closest to the fastener clip. If this doesn't look right, Harness M202 is a brown harness accessible under the Radio HUD Bezel that is easily accessible just by removing the Center Console Gear Shift Cover. M202 is the one referenced most often in the other threads because most of us have it even without the Factory DVD package installed.

Thanks, I know for sure the blue connector i was looking at had only 16 pins numbered 1-16 there also was a brown connector 16 pin (number 1-16). Both of these are the connectors that plug into the DVD player.

I took some pictures of the brown connector under the shifter. I cant find the right wire for the life of me. I also got pictures of the blue on under the dvd player. Maybe its because I have a 06 armada se with the dvd package? Someone please help and tell me which wires it is

please look at the pictures of the connetor here

On that 3rd pic, the brown connector that you are holding (R201), the Blue wire and the Black/White wire right over your thumb to the right of and next to the Green/Yellow wire look like they should be the ones that you need.

On that 3rd pic, the brown connector in the back (M202) with the 2 gray prongs on it should be the M202. I can barely see the dark blue wire on the backside of the middle of it and there should be a Black/White wire right next to it.

On the first pic (M206), the Black/White to the left of the Green/Yellow and the Blue right under it look like the same wires as above that you need.

That's the best that I can see from the pics and you can use either harness. ;)

thanks I figured it out I had the black/white wire and blue wire reversed on the RCA cable. I switched them and it works. Thanks for all your help.
