scr38 09-10-2007, 11:48 AM At this time there are no aftermarket gears out for the Armada. The lowest ratio available is the 3.36 from Nissan.
However, there are some aftermarket gear sets in the works. Contact Greg at PRGProducts.com for more info.
baseballfanz 09-10-2007, 06:23 PM Very nice. What series PIAA is in this Mada?

slamdxterra 09-10-2007, 10:54 PM i believe they are the 610 series! I made custom mounts for them and then molded the cover into the bumper and in the later pics i had the whole bumper painted so the covers were painted too. I outfitted them with HID conversion bulbs and ballasts.
slamdxterra 09-10-2007, 10:55 PM i quit that place! they do really live up to their name! lol

While on this topic, would either of you suspension gurus happen to know of anyone who would be willing to custom fab some bracket extensions or an extended crossmember for the rear to extend the bracket that part #551B0M on this diagram attaches to so I can extend my rear Camber positions?? I cannot get anyone around here to touch a new vehicle unless it's to install a pre-fab kit which I would just do myself anyway.

sure can pops, Let me try to understand are you trying to get more camber adjustment or what? and the part # you gave I assume is a lower control arm right.

Yep, exactly the opposite direction of what you'd need for lowering. It's kinda hard to tell from a picture, but from my understanding, I think my Camber is too far on the Positive side. My Tires are angled kinda like a V when looking at them from behind. The first Pic kind of shows it a little but on the Alignment Rack, it is off the chart and undetectable.
The second Pic shows where my Camber and Toe adjustment bolts are at. As you can see, they are cranked as far as they can possibly go in opposite directions. As you can see on the Camber Bolt, it's pointless to put a larger cam on there because there's not enough bracket left to move it across.
I have a theory that if I can get something to move the Camber bolt to be adjustable somewhere outside of the existing bracket maybe around where the circle is that my Camber should be moved Negative enough to center it then my Toe can be cranked back out enough to line it up.
What do you think???
slamdxterra 09-12-2007, 11:27 PM i can also...Why is your camber so far out? And u tried takin it to an alignment shop? U want the upper a arms or the lower or u talkin the whole rear subframe? If u want the whole rear subframe spaced down then i can build it for u and ship it to you. I know the exact measure ments since i built my rear lift kit personally. Now there is a difference i found out on the rear between 04 and 05. You can email me at slamdxterra@hotmail.com and tell me exactly what u looking for. I specialize in custom suspensions for a living!!!
slamdxterra 09-12-2007, 11:29 PM and also on the rear of these armadas...there isnt just one cam for toe and one for camber...its a combination of the 2. I found this out also when aligning mine after the lifts. Something to consider!!!
It's kinda a long story how this came about but basically, I installed a PRG and the Rear only gained about 1" lift instead of 2" so I installed a second set to compensate and now have about 2" - 2.5" of lift on the rear. Alex at PRG said my springs may be softer than most and that they've found Nissan springs to be very inconsistant. I'm on a tight budget for this and I like the height but it shortened the reach for the lower arms so I'm just trying to get it to work instead of forking out $1200 later on a ProComp.
Long Version: http://www.clubarmada.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8549&page=4
I've called and taken it everywhere around here but these folks around here aren't familiar enough with Nissan, they're primarily Chevy, Ford, Dodge, and Jeep and right now I'm the only one in the state with any kind of a lift on an Armada.
E-Mail Message sent. I am trying to be very cheap on this so please don't be afraid to tell me if I'm out of line and asking for too much.
Thanks Guys!!!!
slamdxterra 09-13-2007, 09:19 PM ok so now i understand! Yah the best way is to make a bracket and lower the whole rear subframe instead of spacing out the coil spring. Honestly its only good to do a 1" spacer on the rear of these because the a-arms are actually really short. I have not made any 2" spacer brackets but i do have 4" brackets. They really do bolt in and been tested with tons of miles and lots of towing and not one problem. I can and will look into 2" lift brackets.
Awesome!!!! Can't wait to hear more!!! :urock:

Couldn't have said it better slamdxterra!
Just checked our rear and your cam bolts look like they are in the same position BUT the camber cam is actually 5 degrees off and not in line with the lower arm axis. On the other hand if your readings were way off the chart then 5 degrees wouldn't help.
Stupid question, but, is there a possiblity that the camber adjustment bolt needs to be turned around 180 degrees opposite? (go the other way with it?) If I remember when we did our lift, you could not go all the way around 360 degrees with the bolt.

Nah, we tried that too. We cranked those puppies every direction, the arm is just too short. You're right, they will not turn 360. My front bolt is cranked as far as it will go counterclockwise. It ran out of notch hole to slide through so it cannot move inward any further. I think that the issue here probably is that the spring arm is too short to accept much change in angle from a lift where the other A-Arm is not affected by a changed angle as much and still has some length left in it.
