I'm really getting sick of chirping the stock tires on wet painted lines and around corners at low speeds in parking lots (only 6000 miles) so I am thinking of taking the plunge to get Dualer A/T REVOs.
I saw a commercial and Bridgestsone is running a special where you can get a $75 American Express Gift Check on the REVOs HERE (http://www.bridgestonetire.com/images/universal_images/fall_07.html). This is not as good as the last time I bought where it was a $100 cash rebate, but still sweetens the pot.
I put these on my 2000 Explorer (prior truck) and they really improved the ride quality in the wet and dry. Snow performance was not as good as I had hoped but I have a feeling it was due to the 7 year old AWD system.
So should I do it? I can live with the stock tires but they just suck so bad. It hasn't really snowed in Long Island for 3 years so I don't know if it is worth the investment.
Thoughts?
Edit: The only down side is spending $650 just for the tires, not including mounting or balancing.
