IF it's got the Diesel. Size is a definite yes but I think that maybe the seating is very close in size because the Excursion has a larger Cargo Area. I was thinking the same while I was stuck in traffic behind one this morning.

Hello I have a SE 2008 Armada and would like to get Nav,ipod, buletooth . Either factory or after market. Not sure how clean a after market install would look or how good it would work. Nissan tells me they can't sell me thier Navigation system. Any advice

Hey Joker43man.... I just installed the Kenwood KOS-V500 in my 05'..it allows you to maintain your factory radio while allowing you to add on Nav, Bluetooth, Sat Radio, HD Radio and aftermarket amps (for a subwoofer-like I did..) you would need to purchase a video monitor to access the menus..Kenwood makes the KOS-L702, or you can buy your own..Check it out at www.kenwoodusa.com (http://www.kenwoodusa.com)

So my Armada is finally done with the sub add-on using a Factory Integration piece... and major Autopage alarm added...

Here's how it goes.. I have the Kenwood KOS-V500 Factory Integration unit. This allows me to retain the factory Bose system but add on amplifiers, HD Radio, Sat Radio (although I have factory already), Ipod, Bluetooth, and Nav (have that already too...). I ran the pre-amp out from the V500 to a Kenwood 1800 Watt Sub amp (bridged) to a Pioneer Low-Profile 10" sub in a custom fiberglass enclosure - ALL completely out of sight!...(Hey - I live in Miami - nuff said!!) The V500 needs a monitor to control the many options, functions & sources. You can purchase the Kenwood KOS-L702 touchescreen monitor or, if you have factory NAV (like me) you can utilize your NAV screen for a display. I had to convert the Kenwood DIN-style video output from the V500 to a composite video-out with the Kenwood KOS-CV100 ($100) and then buy a video-converter to add a auxilary video input to the factory NAV... I used one from a company called "Navtool" ($200) ...it includes a small toggle switch to go from factory screen display to the Kenwood V500 display. The V500 includes a remote-eye and a remote control. We mounted the remote eye in the unused switch area below the Armada's climate controls.. The sub knocks real nice! It sounds tight and controlled and much more than a single 10" sub... The alarm is the new RS-1000 AutoPage with remote start, window -up/down control, lift-gate up/down control, and extra security sensors... I'm new at this but I posted some pics in my Gallery..If anyone wants to know the installer or wants more pics - just send me a message..!

that's nice man....how does that sub sound in there??? do you keep the cover on or leave it off???

happyseany
02-18-2008, 10:05 AM
I leave the cover on.. no rattling from the plastic cover but did initially have some rattle from the sub so we put some "Hush Mat" sound deadening material on the metal areas around the sub. Not a single rattle anymore...! The sub sounds great. I had 2 Kicker Pro 10" subs with a solid 1200 watts pumping to them in my old car....but I couldn't handle that horrible factory Bose sub for a day. I bought my Armada and in 2 days started this system. Really happy - for now... Eventually will upgrade factory door speakers, etc which will be easy now because of the Kenwood piece...
