Hey guys! I just bought a cheap backup camera to instal in my armada and hook up to my avic-d3. I was planning on flush mounting it to the latch in the back. However I am so confused as to how I get power to this thing. There is an rca for video but this picture shows exactly what I got. I have NO CLUE as to how I power it up. Looks like I have to plug it into something.. but what? The auction says:

The camera is designed to operate with vehicles' battery. However, some vehicles have a very high momentary voltage at the vehicle starting time and the overload might cause damage to the camera. If that is the case for your vehicle, you will need to install a fuse, voltage regulator, etc. to protect your camera.
*Use vehicle 12 VDC power

Seller isnt responding.. lol thanks guys!!

The Yellow is your video, the Black looks like it's probably your Power feed. The should be some sort of power adapter that plugs into it.

Exactly.. but it doesnt come with a power adapter... Everyone else who purchased these left positive feedback.. Im wondering if maybe he forgot to send the power adapter with it, or if there is another way I can wire it in.

If the camera is design to run off 12V you don't need anything else. You can go to Radio Shack and get a male plug of the same size, the other end would be bare wire, one for ground and one for 12V.

Or you could have just cut of the plug and extended the wire. But since you got a plug just make sure you get your polarity right. I would assume that the center probe in the plug would be the positive. Good luck!!!

My camera has the same plug. I just cut the end off and there are 2 wires inside. A positive that went to the acecssory switch and a ground. They are very small wires.
