New to the Club and have received a ton of info so first off thanks to all!! I have had some serious issues with my local Nissan dealer and have decided to take things into my own hands. I'll get to the problem. I have a CEL, I used the proceedures posted to get the OBD codes and first received a 0430 code. Did some research and and found that the Cat may be bad but also found out it may be an O2 sensor aft of the CAT Bank 2 (pass side). I bought an OEM O2 sensor and replace it. When I pulled the old sensor out I noticed it was a bit wet (I figured it was fuel). After changing the sensor and reseting the ECM I drove it for about 4 miles and the light came back on. After rechecking the codes it now tells me I have 0430 and 0420. So it sounds to me that the O2 sensor bank 2 I changed out wasn't bad and I find it hard to believe that both my CATS have failed at the same time. So I'm wondering if there is something else that may be giving me both codes. I have reset numerous times and the same codes keep comming back. Is there anyone else that has had this issue and what may the fix be short of replacing the CATS. I have 68K miles on the car and NC has no emission requirements so the waranty is no good for me. Can Anyone help?

It sure sounds like cat failure. See attachment.

Thanks all for the kind welcome but I'm kinda bummed knowing I may very well have to replace my CATs $$$$. I'm guessing its the three way catalysts that are between the A/F sensors and HO2 sensors that need replaced. Do you all think that is a job a guy like myself who has the basic skills to change out a muffler could do. Looking at some diagrams it loogs like the Three way Catalysts are one piece with the Exhaust manifolds. Any advice??

The cats are welded to the exhaust manifolds. You have to buy the complete assembly fron the dealer. The other option is to buy aftermarket cats, cut the old cats from the manifolds and weld the new ones in place. Either way, it is going to take a lot of work and won't be cheap!
There are several members on www.clubtitan.org that have installed headers. You may be able to find a used set of manifolds/cats there at a much lower price.
