Our 2006 LE 4x4 has 38,000 miles on it. The brakes were juddering. We bought the vehicle used from a dealer in FL.

I took it in this past Monday afternoon to have the problem inspected. Don from Harrelson Nissan (Rock Hill, SC) applied for a good-will replacement with Nissan USA. On Tuesday morning they approved full parts and labor, no charge to me. They replaced both front rotors with the upgraded rotor. The original pads were not changed. The judder is gone.

We were very impressed with the service we received from the dealership and with Nissan USA for covering the parts on a vehicle 2,000 miles out of warranty.

I wasn't aware there was an "upgraded" rotor for the 06 Armadas. We've got almost 30K on our 06, and haven't had a brake judder problem. We had a "groaning" noise coming from the front brakes; as per the TSB, Nissan replaced the pads, and turned the rotors, problem is fixed and hasn't re-occurred.

Glad to hear you got good service from your dealer, not many posts like that around here. Nissan dealers aren't known for good service, so you're lucky you found one of the few good ones. Now, if only I could find one like that out here......

I had my front Rotors replaced with the Upgraded ones at around 15k and had the Rear turned with all the pads replaced. I'm at 26k now and they're still strong.

I also thought the '06's were supposed to have came with the "upgraded" Rotors already on them. Very awesome that the Dealer did that, they're a keeper.

Just a quick update ... brakes still fantastic, it's so nice to have a smooth stop.

My wife doesn't notice the difference and didn't realize there was a problem, I guess that's why she keeps me around.
