Guys,

I had a transmission flush last week. I have a long trip planned tomorrow so I thought I would check the tranny fluid. Well, guess what?!?!?! With the Armada running, the dipstick is dry!!! With it off, it is to the top of the range.:crikey:

Can anyone tell me with a warm transmission and the vehicle off, what the fluid level on the sitck is? How many inches from bottom of the stick??

I have a 4.5 hour drive to Sierra Vista tomorrow and need to know if I should rent a car.

The fluid level should be at the top mark with the engine running and the transmission warm, in Park or N. When you check the fluid you must have the stick rotated 180 degrees, so that the bolt tab is on the opposite side from the bolt hole.

Checked it again. Thanks, but I have the maintenace section of the Service manual. I just rechecked it and still low. Stick is DRY when running!!

I want to know how much is on the stick with the car off. That way I can guess/gague how low mine is. At 7:50pm it isn't easy to find matic J.
