I am getting the 2 degree advance done on my 05 Armada as we speak. I can't wait to get it back and see the difference it makes. For those of you that have had it done, has it been worth it? The dealership is charging me less than $50 to do it.

Oh heck yes it's worth it! I think I got charged $50....before we found out the scanner tool we just bought could do it lol. I am very happy with it though.

Oh yea!! It's not much but it's well worth $50. If you find yourself a good abandoned road with a decent speed limit posted, switch the VDC Off, and floor it from a Stop Sign to about 40-50, you'll see why.

I had it done and love the results. $50 is a great price!

just got it back.. WOW!!! What a difference. I think I'll need some new tires now that I left half of them on I-540.

As you drive more and the computer adjusts to your driving habits it may become less noticeable in this affect but will remain in place regardless. For me, I cannot spin the tires very much anymore but my MPG's are a tad bit better than they were before it I think because of using less pedal during dead-stop acceleration. If you keep your foot out of it, you should be able notice waiting a little longer before needing to refill the gas tank, for me it added about 1-2 days in between gas refills.

cclaybrook are from NW Arkansas? If you are I am from Fayetteville. The reason I say that is because you said I-540 thats right by my house.

Did you check the list of people who can do the advance? It looks like there are a couple of people in your area.

Unfortunately I still cannot find anybody in Utah to do this for me. My dealer refused, But I keep hoping.

I did the 2* advance on my cousins 4x4 Titan and he said he gets a hair better than 21 mpg on the highway. The only other mods he has is a Nismo intake and a Magnaflow exhaust. He was complaining about 15 mpg on the highway and with the advance and a little retraining on his driving habits, he's tickled to death.

Welcome to CA!

The dealer's mechanic is full o' caca! The advance stays unluess you remove it. The computer will do nothing to it!

Welcome to the Club espdgonzo!!!! They are totally wrong and I wouldn't have them do it. Since you're in LA, I would just contact ShadyJC and ask him to do it. You'll save yourself alot of trouble and $$$$ and meet a really awesome guy.

Hey espdgonzo and everybody, sorry for slow responses to PMs and everything, I've been travelling a lot lately (actually typing this from Mazatlan, Mexico right now). I can do the timing advance for you, send me a PM with your location and we'll figure out where/when to meet up.
