My 2 day old SE is beginning to exhibit some dash rattles. It is coming from the passenger side of the dash past the airbag and the tweeter. I can somewhat duplicate the problem by pressing on the right corner of the dash, where it meets the windshield.

I'm guessing some sort of foam padding should resolve the issue. I'll give it a few more days for the dash (and everything else for that matter) to settle in before visiting the dealer.

It is probably the defroster vent cover. Many have had rattles there (including myself). You can remove the cover, it snaps in place, and put foam weatherstrip under it and snap back in place. That solved my rattle.

I'll give that a shot.

More of a high pitched buzz.

Arrggh .. I removed the vent cover, removed the glove box, drove around and the rattle is still there. I am now convinced that the dashboard is rubbing against the windshield. I'm planning on taking this part of the dash apart this weekend.

Alright - problem solved.

It was indeed the corner dash rubbing against the glass. I stuffed it with foam and voila! No more rattles.
