: 8" Lift on eBay Picture
Check out eBay, item #4547815493
An Armada LE with 8" lift. I think it looks very cool. Maybe we should do a poll. What looks better. Lift or drop?
92TripleBlack 05-05-2005, 12:53 AM Can't wait until these are available. I hate lowered and loved raised trucks. Opposite for cars. Lowering SUVs/Trucks seems to me like someone trying to turn a truck into a car. I hear it improves handling and looks cool. I don't like the looks, and if you want handling, buy a vette. Lowering also hurts what a truck is built for: off road, towing, utility. Sorry, call me old school, but that raised Armada looks hot and I have yet to see any lowered truck I like ever.
PS My vette is lowered.
AZARMADA 05-05-2005, 01:23 AM I generally like lifted trucks, that MADA looks great with the lift. If they are done right a truck can look good lowered. The Escalade, Chevy and the new F150 look good lowered. I would not own one but they look good. A 4 to 5" lift is what I would like for my MADA.
adjmcloon 05-05-2005, 10:39 AM I never have really cared for lifted trucks, but that Armada does look pretty sweet lifted.
ARMADAinSMOKE 05-05-2005, 11:15 AM that's a sweet looking truck! I like both lowered and raised, but I doubt that I would ever lower a truck because of functionality.
That thing sure looks cool. I kind of interested. I've had both lifted and lowered, but I told myself I wouldn't do anything with the Armada. I may have been telling stories to myself. I especially like mudders on my trucks. Nothing too wild, just enough to get the next larger size mudders on.
NorCalJay 05-05-2005, 12:41 PM Uh, anyone notice it's a 2wd?!!! Well it's just for looks apparently. Does look badass though. There's a similar lifted Titan by me & that thing is unreal - looks unique.
If I was into lifts like I was with my past Jeeps, I'd love to do the Rancho sponsored deal. The A-arm lift is a whole different beast - not just a simple spring lift you do in your garage over the weekend. But now I'm on the street 100% so I'm digging the street style & performance.

Yeah. Never said this particular one was for function. I'm waiting for the 4wd version and emailed the lift kit maker asking when one would be available. If you see the xterra commercial going over the truck with it all function and no Bling that's my style. This whole DOPI thing just gives me hives.
Good observation on the 2WD thing. How about 4WD is for lifting and 2WD is for lowering? 92TripleBlack, you probably don't like this one huh? :)
I think the Armada looks great either way. It just depends how you use it. I've been rolling on 44's for the past 15 years and now I'm loving the Armada on stock wheels at stock height. I am leaning towards lowering it though. I got a 2WD Armada.
I see people have if up to $5,100 so far for the Lifted Armada. Anyone care to make a wager on what this auction will close at? Fake money of course. I say $25k That's low because I'm not sure anyone wants to take on a 8" lifted 2WD Armada. What so you do with it?? Other than look good in it.
92TripleBlack 05-05-2005, 04:25 PM 2wd SUV=Van ;)
rattanak 05-06-2005, 02:26 PM I think this one is a 4x4. It has skid plate underneath the transfer case, tow hooks and SE OFF ROAD badge. Here is a picture of it from Nissan site.

adjmcloon 05-06-2005, 03:44 PM That's nice, but I would have went for some fatter tires if lifting it. Pretty sweet though.
Hey Tripleblack, seeing your red Armada makes me wish I would have had the dealer find me one instead of rolling with the white. :) I like mine ok, but this is my 5th white vehicle. (!) I know, I know...

Thanks. Red is actually a departure for me. I have a Black Vette, Black G35, and wanted a black Armada. But the girlfriend wouldn't give the nod for it if it was black. And since I'm in Florida now, black isn't as great as it was in NJ. I'm really happy with the red. It has a little more orange in it vs. most other this color have more purple/blue. It stands out next to another with a similar color.
Good news,
If anyone wants the lift, it will work for 4x4. I'm saving my pennies. $3995 installed!

Hey rattanak,
Same thing at quick glance but it is an imposter...It's 2wd alright - prerunner style. The ebay one has it in the description, no badges & different wheels. I'll try to attach a pic.
"2005 NISSAN ARMADA LE,LIFTED 8" BY CUSTOM MOTORSPORTS 2 WHEEL DRIVE, 305HP V8 ENGINE,..."
Hey thanks for the Nissan link btw! That one is the real deal. Good stuff. (Now I can visualize where these guys were when they dropped the ball on the Armada stereo/nav control interface design-haha-ugh.)
casinojames 06-18-2005, 11:06 AM Dammmmnnn!! I don't have a 4wd but if I did that's what it should look like!!
Bulldog79 06-19-2005, 12:31 AM I called this company up and they can custom make you a 8" lift for your 4WD Armada for 3850$ installed. Ill pass for right now. Just letting you guys know.
