Can you guys do ma a favor? I would love to see MORE pictures of rims (on the Armada of course).

ESPECIALLY if you have Chrome 18" rims. I see A LOT of 20", 22" and 24"
BUT rarely see 18" chrome (non stock).

I purchased DIP D10's, which haven't come in yet  Just want to know if they will look good.
Guess it's too late for that. I will post pics when they are on my Armada.
Thanks! :urthebest

The reason I went to 20s, and the reason most people have 20+ or 17s is there is very few tires the correct size in 18". I couldn't find a single 18" AT that was 33-34" in diameter. I went to 20s so I could get a 305 wide, 33.5 tall tire.

So do 20" rims make the ride more rough or is it when you get 20+ that it is a rough ride? I guess it would also depend on the tire, right?

GREAT....so do you think the rims I just ordered aren't going to FIT?! I got them at a Tires Plus in Iowa......the guy came out and looked at the Armada.....he said the DIP D10s would fit on the original tires, so I wouldn't have to spend anymore money.

:clueless: :comp26: ok.first of all.people make much too big a deal arout ride quality.the ride quality changes but its not that noticeable or bad.if you like 24s then get them.if you like 18 cool.but dony judge a thing like that on ride quality because its not a big of adeal as people claim.trust me.i whent from 18s to 20s to 24s and the change aint that bad. :noworries

WHOA ARMADAMAN.....is this a SENSITIVE subject for you. Sorry I brought it up! :3d_049:

It's just that I have seen on some posts that it is a rough ride.......you can't go off roading with big rims that's for sure.

I hope my 18" fit....now I'm worried.

Can you post a pic....I think I have seen you 'Mada before?

I am sure your 18's will fit.

I belive 92TripleBlack was saying that the size of All Terain tires he wanted were hard to find for 18" rims.

Yours should fit fine, post pics when you get them on.

And have a :fantastic Mothers day

AWE....THANKS AZ! That was nice of you! :urthebest
I'm having a GREAT 1st Mother's day!

Oh, and thanks for clarifying the rim thing for me. SO, it is harder to find a perfect fit for the heavy duty tires, right?

I will DEFINITELY post some pics when they are on!
THANKS AGAIN! :D

the ride quality only really changes a lot when you get into the lower profile tires....my car came with 16s stock and now im running 225/35ZR19s .... i have like an inch of rubber and you can tell a huge difference, but in the SUVs when you go bigger on the wheel, you still have a lot of rubber left so its not a drastic change

I put 22's on my titan and 305/45/22's on the rim. 45 series have a fair amount of rubber. If you went 20's you could go a 55 series tire and have even more rubber. But you may want to go a little narrow then 305 which is almost 13 inches wide. Now the width of the tire you can feel. The main thing about new rims....backspacing!!! Mine are +10mm and I think the stock are a little on the negative side. This greatly affects the pivot point of the tire when turning and tracking down the road. So you want as close to stock back spacing as possible, not too wide.....I say 295 on the width....and if you are worried about ride....a 20 will be fine with 55 series tires.

What's up Ronnie boy!
your are a postin fool up here now...notice I say UP HERE...that's right CT is a step below! :p
You really do have a nice Titan though! I think a nice pair of shoes really finishes off the vehicle...nice selection.
So, you know your stuff! Thanks for the info, although I decided to go with 18" because of my HUSBAND! I figured it's cheaper...don't have to spend more on tires. Maybe I can get your opinion on a few things......goto my thread HUB CENTRIC ( i think it's in General or problems..not sure)? It will explain everything. Oh and I realized after I posted that stuff that DOT stands for something totally different! :duh:

DOT....distribute something....LMAO!!!

Department Of Transportation LoL

Step below!!! Please...we all know that M4ck owns a TITAN not a Mada!!! We get all the good stuff and you know it...don't hate!!! I haven't even heard the word Hub centric in a long time.... Most wheels if the bolt patter is ok.....it's fine these days. But apparently that's not true in all cases. Listen to SCR...he's the man with this stuff....

I got 24's installed on my Armada and the ride is perfectly fine....it actually handles alot better than the stock 18s.

You can see my ride on my profile.

Nice ride! I guess it depends on the tires.

Don't know about others, but mine is just as smooth as stock, handles better, and is just as quiet. It is more quiet than my G35 with S03 Pole Positions on it. Very happy with my combo.
