I've always been curious about our Clearance Heights for Parking Garages and I've seen others post questions about it so I thought it would be a good idea start a thread about it for reference for those of us who are interested in affordably lifting as far as we can w/o knocking the luggage rack off in a 7' garage. I placed an 8' 1x2 board across the top of my luggage rack and measured from the ground to the topside of the board to over compensate and make for a known "will clear". I'll edit this post as confirmation is available.
Note: The Stock 265/70-18 tires are 32.6" diameter.
The 2006 Brochure states that the total stock height for a 4x4 is 78.7".
PRG 2" mini-lift and stock tires measure at 79" for me. (Seems to me the brochure may have overstated a bit or my tire tread is worn a couple of inches down.)
I'm guessing that the ProComp 6" front / 4" rear may put it at about 82".
I'm guessing the Rancho 4" Lift may put it at about 81".
I'm guessing that adding the Rancho 4" to the PRG 2" would put it at about 83".
Adding larger tires along with any of these will also add an inch or two.
I'm curious what you guys are clearing with the PRG and ProComp Lifts while running larger tires.
