so both of my key remotes have issues:
Set 1-the entire front plate (with all the push buttons) fell off and is lost
Set 2-the remote is fairly intact, however the plastic loop part that you thread your key ring through is broken
Question....how can i get 2 more remotes that will be programed to work with the remote starter?? I am assuming the dealer will charge an arm and a leg....are they covered under the existing or extended warranty?

Don't know about your remote starter, since that is not factory installed. But, remotes are available on ebay pretty cheap, and re-programming them to do the factory functions is pretty simple. Do a search here and you'll find it pretty quick.

How did u activate ur remote start? If its a module like the 561T where u clicked lock twice or so.... then a regular Nissan replacement key fob will work... It doesnt need a special key fob but rather, 2 clicks of the lock button

All you need to do is get on ebay and buy two remotes. I got two for $15 shipped. They just come apart and you can replace all the parts you need the rubber keys come out and also the chip so you can just swap out the chip on the one with the broken loop and use the casing on the one you bought. Hope this helps.

I was not aware that Nissan offered a Remote Starter from the factory. Are you sure this is true, or just that it interfaces through the factory remote?

I'd bet that it is aftermarket.

i thought it was factory as well. my 04 LE has the auto-start feature by just pressing the lock button twice; and i can disengage it by pressing the lock button twice again.
