:hi: im planning on buying 24s but need help deciding on tires either a 305 35 24 or a 285 40 24 is there really that much of a diffrence between the two and if so what and how much
as far as looks ,ride, towing, rubbing if any
if you guys have pics of the diffrent look with the two 40s 35s that would be cool to thanks guys

stick with the tires with the taller sidewall for ride comfort. those tires are very close in size. my personal preference, and the tire i sell the most of, is the 295/40-24.

295-40-24 is the best for your truck.

I ran the 295 40 series for a taller sidewall and had no rubbing.

i like the toyos but only see a 285 40 24 who esle makes a good lasting quiet tire.. is there really that much of a difference between those two sizes comfort wise

I was wondering the same thing. I am probably gonna run 295/40's but I have one question for the club. I don't want my tires to stick out past the fenderwell so the 305's are definatly a no-no. Would I be better off going with the 285/40's? My 305/45's in a 22 inch tire reeked havoc on my fenders, slinging tire shine up the side of my Mada all the time.

you'd want a little less ofset then. a 285 is only about .5-.75 inches narrower, but if its on a rim with the same offset as your 22s, then it will stick out just as far. try to get a 24 with an offset of +12 or less, thats what my 22s were and they were a perfect fit.

They 22's that I had were +15 offset with 305/45's.
They new 24's that I am getting ready to order are +13 offset with 295/40's.
Will this be enough to get me about flush with the wheel well?

it'll be closer, i'd say you're on the right track. they dont get much smaller than a +13. like i said mine were 22x8.5 with a +12, and a 305/45-22. they almost flush with the fenders.
