I was wondering if anyone knows why my Eclipse CD receiver will not turn on?
I tried hooking it up today MINUS the antenna (have to get the conveter cable) and the unit will not turn on. Is the antenna some sort of ground for the unit? Does it need to be installed?
Another thing is that the parking lights came on when I installed the harness without the radio plugged in.
The way I wired it, I wired the antenna power wire (even though the car has no power antenna). The reason I did this is because on my 350Z I had to wire it in in order to get radio stations. I assumed the same here. Also, I connected the ground cable of the Eclipse to the ground cable on the harness, not to chassis.
I did a quick search but could not find anything. Thanks for the help.
