Weird thing happened tonight.... got in the car with a bunch of people and all the doors worked. Got to our destination and the rear passenger door will not open. It will not open from the inside or the outside even though the lock is open. Anyone ever hear of this happening w/ the Armada?? I had some warranty work done about a month ago because the locking mechanisms weren't working right w/ the controls on the driver's door... but that seemed to be an entirely different issue.

I have had a problem like this when i took off panel for rear door, There is a screw in the door handle that if it's too tight the door will not open. Try and slacken the screw and see if that works...Good luck

Did the passenger try to open the door while it was locked as it was unlocking? Just a thought because sometimes I'll try and open the door while Heather is inside and when she unlocks it I accidently pull the handle and it stays locked. Done this numerous times and it still happens to this day. lol

I thought that was a possibility. So what do I have to do to get the door open now?? I've tried unlocking and locking several times with the controls and the keyfob. No luck!!

Both the inside and outside handles, as well as the lock/unlock function are connected to the door lock assembly with cables. There have been some problems with the end of the cable breaking off. If the lock/unlock cable has broken, the door can't be unlocked. You will need to have the cable replaced.
