Hey guys this morning when i started the mada to go to work it made a weird whining noise, and it also did it every time i revved. and now whenever i get it to around 20 mph it starts bogging and then when i put my foot on the gas it just revs up to like 5 thousand and stuff. it wont go past 20 and starts slowing down its like its in N. what do i do and the check engine light comes on to. when it like dies if u turn it off for a bit u can drive fine for like .2 miles and it does it again.
It's going into a "safe mode" or "limp-home mode", I don't remember exactly what it's called. There's been a recent thread on it but it's usually caused by a sensor that's gone bad. It happened to wifey's Murano awhile back and turned out to be the O2 sensor that needed to be replaced. I'm not sure if you can pull a code to diagnose the exact sensor or not but scr38 posted a sticky in the How To section on how to read codes that involves just turning the ignition key and pressing the gas pedal in certain patterns to get the code to display.

ok cool do you know if resetting the ecm would help adn what did u do for your wifes murano. btw im going through a buy back thing with the same people campfamily used so hopefully this problemed truck can go back so i can get a new one :)
Hers happened when I changed her headlights to the Silverstars. I had to take the AirBox apart and completely remove it to get to the headlight and I think I might have gotten some dirt or something into the wrong side of the intake. So, I freaked out when it happened, took it straight to the Dealer and got a loaner to let them diagnose and fix it but they replaced the O2 Sensor and it's worked ever since. I don't know what the exact code they got was.

Code 1769 indicates a problem with the high clutch and low reverse clutch solenoid valve. This valve is located inside the transmission.
Possible caused of the problem:
1. Bad wiring harness or poor connection at the connector. Check the wiring harness that runs to the transmission. You will see a harness plugged into the side of the transmission. Check that connector for moisture, corrosion or dirt.
2. The solenoid valve could be bad. It is inside the transmission; that is a dealer repair.
3. The transmission fluid pressure switch could be bad. That is also a dealer repair.
4. Low transmission fluid level. That would cause the driving problem as well as the whine you are hearing. With the transmission warmed up, check the fluid level with the engine running in Park. The fluid level should be between the two marks on the dip stick.

The transmission dip stick is under the hood, on the passenger side, to the rear of the engine oil filler. See attachments.
