Got my eye on one...

Looking at buying private party one owner 2006 LE. I will be taking to dealership on Monday for a multi-point inspection, before purchase. Very concerned about ABS issue, I read every post here regarding it and seems very widespread. It has almost talked my out of my hopeful purchase. What is the guesstimated ratio of Armadas with this issue? 1 in 10? 1 in 30? When reading on the Internet seems nearly everyone but I know that's not the case. Any fresh news on class action lawsuit or possible recall? Any input would helpful as I am a fan but not yet the owner. Great community you got here!

PDX I saw your name on the ABS thread. That's the issue I'm referring to. Seems a reflash may help in some cases. Had to reschd my appointment w dealership till Friday.

Thanks D. Good to know not everyone has had this problem, the problem seems to be magnified when reading hundreds of replies. If it was truly that bad they would have recalled?

It only takes one time, and for every one person on the net there's at least one that isn't.

I can't stand how these car companies rely on service dept. thievery as a main source of income.....

Welcome to club armada!!!!

Yes, the ABS problem is a valid concern, if youwant to be absolutely safe, try looking for a 2008+ model. All brake issues have supposedly been fixed since then...

That is not true. 2008+ models have the same flash/brake booster problem as previous models.

Mine was covered under my extended warranty.

How can I forget?! The newer models come with bigger front rotors.... Thanks for clearing that up.
