I have a 2004 Nissan Armada that just stalls with no warning. It happens at idle, accelerating or when applying my brakes. I have had the relay replaced because of the recall, it still does it. The technicians put it on the diagnostics machine and there was no errors. They are stumped and are thinking it might be the fuel filter. They are not sure. Any thoughts?

Usually the Fuel Pump/Filter/Sensor Assembly. Common issue.

Did you have a recent recall on the Sensor Assembly? (It includes the whole thing if I recall correctly, I may be wrong).

Did it stall before the relay change recall? It is rare but they could have put in a defective one. I wonder if there is a similar one you could swap out just for the heck of it.

welcome to CA dont think 04 are part of the fuel recall, think you can swap out fog light relay in the box

Update: the dealer dumped 20 gallons of fuel to pull the fuel assembly. Nothing wrong there. They sent it home with a technician to see if they can better determine when the stalls happen. My bill sat $500.00 and they don't have a fix. Grrr. Any more ideas? Yes te car started stalling before they replaced the relay.

They will need to check Fuel Pressure at start up, and while running to see if it falls off just prior to stalling or whatever. I would expect the tech has taken his "Consult" computer with him to do such testing. He'll be able to monitor everything.

It turns out that if finally throw a code while stalling out. They are now replacing the camshaft position sensor. I hope this fixes the problem.

I had the same stalling issue and replaced the ECM Relay as the forum members suggested. Nearly ponied up for the $400 IPDM but decided to drop it off to my buddy's shop. By some stroke of luck, it FINALLY threw an engine code for the Cam Position Sensor. Mind you, I've been dealing with the stall issue for over 600 miles with no engine light. $40 bucks plus labor and I'm back on the road.
