Changed my tranny oil, front and rear differential oil today
Took closed to 4 hours. Mostly waiting for them to drained. And the pump i use to pump the diff oil broke! Cheap $10 pump! So i had to improvised. The tricky part for me was lowering the tranny pan. Obviously there is still oil in the pan even though i drained it before i removed the pan. I tilt the pan a bit trying to lowered and some oil spilled over on the ground and on me. :/ The magnets in the tranny were double the size! :/ lots of metal shaving looks like sludge. It has to be metal to stick to the magnets. The front and rear differential magnets were the same full of metal shaving. Cleaned everything up (the pan, all the bolts). Now it seems to drive smoother. Could be my imagination.
Hey NTRDDRAGN I too got an 04 LE what type of fluid did you use for your TRANNY and DIFF mine is up for changing but don't no what kind of synthetic to use.
Im not a role model for oil changing. LOL when i did this my armada just turned 110K miles. Lots of the members on here change theirs frequently not sure what the actual mileage is but being that you are at 90K, it would be a bad idea to change them. DONT FLUSH!

I used Nissan Matic S (replaced Matic J). i only end up using like 4 and something quarts even with the pan drop. i bought 6 quarts just in case, rather have more then not enough. here is a how to
for the differential i used 80W90 synthetic amsoil for the front and 75w140 for the rear. here is thread for why 75w140 and not 75w90 (even though 75w90 would be fine)
Yeah just drained and fill. If u will be removing the transmission pan then drain, carefully remove the pan (still oil in there after the drain) and fill. Just follow scot technique to make sure u pour in what you took out.
good stuff Richard! thanks for the report and the links
