Help with Rebuilding my Rear Suspension

Hi everyone,

I have a 2005 Armada SE 4x4 with the Auto-Level Rear suspension.
I have made the decision to get rid of the auto-level and just use normal components.

I am not too sure what I will be needing to get to get started. A friend of mine suggests the following. If anyone can add to this list or guide me in the right direction on what to get and where that would be great:

- 2 Non tow package rear springs ( can I still tow with these springs ? )
- non air ride shocks ( Monroes ? )

Please do not convince me to keep the current auto-level I do not want this and will unplug the compressor etc.

Update * NAPA says these rear coil springs will fit. Does anyone have them? Any good?

I know he hasn't installed them yet or maybe did just hasn't posted but give him sometime I'm sure he'll chime in.

Yea, mine is ready to put on this weekend if I can make time. I'm considering just spending a night in the garage knocking it out. I'll post after the install and test driving. One thing about those springs is the paint was not good so I had them powdercoated for 35 bucks.

Hey pops what's the difference between the non tow and the tow model rear springs?

Yea, you just buy new ones from the dealership and replace them, pretty simple stuff and those struts aren't priced too terribly.
