As for the cargo bag inside of the basket setup, it worked perfect!
Initially what I really wanted was a setup that had enough capacity for the entire family for a week long roadtrip. And I wanted something secure and strong.
But only after using the cargo box for a couple years I started to notice the limitations of my cargo setup. So I decided to try the cargo basket and cargo bag.
I bought the basket and used it throughout the summer. It worked great for throwing things on top of the Armada and then securing it with bungee cords or rubber straps. Then I bought the cargo bag. It was purchased primarily for family trip usage.
For this trip it worked perfectly. It can hold four "carry-on" sized luggage with ease. It is pretty much water resistant. I didnt experience much rain to test its weatherproofing strength. But I have no doubt that I would be satisfied.
The Armada itself was amazing as per usual. I got about 14mpg R/T. Lots of comfort and space. Amazing presence. It got pretty dirty but we washed it this morning. It looks beautiful!
