Howdy ~ I'm wondering who is getting the best MPG? What modifications did you make to get there, and what was the total bill for those mods? Even though the "driving season" is over and gas prices have come down some what, I want to do some serious mods after spending $4/gallon all summer. My trip computer says I've averaged 13.6 over my first 30k miles in my '11 (split city, highway). This is my 3rd Armada, and I love it and will buy another, but that 13.6 has to change... Time to brag lads! Who's getting north of 18 mpg? north of 20 mpg? Thanks!
I once got 23 mpg hwy when my Volant intake was brand new, with the Ram Air Scoop accessory, SuperChips on gas saver mode, tires were new, and had pumped 91 octane Chevron Gas, cruise control at 75, 100% hwy.... Yea, that's rarely the case though. Lol it's usually 19 mpg hwy.
I've spent around $600 on those couple of mods.
Best improvement I've had so far is with the Airaid CAI. I recently switched from the Injen. Almost 2mpg with summer gas. Now with winter gas blends in the pumps I find my avg to be a little over 1mpg increase. Doesn't sound like much but your graph illustrates how many $$ that adds up to. Plus gas is over $5/gal up here. My driving is pretty much the same month to month and I've been logging mileage for almost 3 years so I'm confident this increase was due to the Airaid.
Cost was $260, I think. I was fortunate to get 15% off that plus $50 cash back promo they were running so my out the door price was $170. Running my tires at 35 front 33/34 rear.

the best i ever got in my old 11 Mada was 22mpg on cruise at 69 hwy, stock 18 wheels, airaid intake. the best that i have gotten on my 12 Mada is 15mpg and i have the airaid but 20in chromes.

i dont know how i manage but trip a couple of weeks ago from (Full tank) Wingers resturant in St George to the gas station in Ghost Town Rd in Yermo..266 miles with a ~1/4 tank left. just slightly under the mark. I could gone at least another 30 miles, maybe? this is with 4 adults and 4 kids. speeding 80+ when there isnt a traffic jam and a few traffic jams. so i said its pretty good gas mileage. the only mod i have is my CAI and a lift.
Steady cruising, best I've ever got is a tad above 17. Typical around 13 to 14 with a 50/50 mix of highway and street driving, with my wife driving. With the trailer, 9 to 10. Low fuel light comes on at about 220 miles. Bone stock, except for 2 degree timing advance.

I am a new to the site and bought my first 2012 Mada last fall. I love it and was glad i was able to convince the wife to trade in the minivan .
I knew the MPG would suck, but didn't realize how bad it is at times. I get about 14.3 city driving and 15.2 on the hwy. The funny thing is, I only get 15.2 on the hwy at 75-80 mph. If I go slower, i get worse MPG.
Can you help? I am a bit confused/lost on the 2 degree advance and what it as/does.
