Just replaced mine today. It took linger to find the socket in my tool chest then to replace. Works great!

Hi Georgi,

I am having the same problem with my SUV. I would appreciate if you can tell me where's the location of the blower or where can I find it. I am not really a mecahnical savvy when it comes to car. Thanks in advance.

The resistor is under the passenger side foot well, pretty close to the firewall. It's not hard to replace, but you will need that 5.5mm nut driver.

A few months ago I bought and installed a new resistor with 3 fins. It seemed to work fine until it got too hot which caused the issue to come back. I found the resistor w/ 4 fins on ebay for about $52 shipped to my door. I'm def going to give this one a shot. Thx for the part #.

Amen to this thread and forum! I have an '08 Armada LE with dual climate control with 85,000 miles on it, the blower motor had a mind of its own, it wouldnt turn off and wouldn't adjust with climate control on. I couldn't wait so I went to the local Nissan Stealership and purchased the Variable Blower Control Module for $68 and installed it myself, took about 5 minutes.. maybe less. Works like a charm now!

So my front fan on my 04 only works on high , no other speed, The first pic is what i have under the dash, looks like a single fin resistor and goes up in a slot under dash. The dealer sold me this 4 fin VBC. is this the right part and if so where does that go. I got a new resistor as well online but it makes no diff so far.

Just to add I have an 04 without seperate passenger climate control, so now Im guessing that the vbc is not for my vehicle.? Could it just be the switch?

I did try hooking up the vbc to my plug and then i get fan on speeds 2 and 4 , nothing on settings 1 & 3. But even if this was the fix there is no place to put it in my vehicle since I only have the slot for the 1 fin thing. (still LOST)

and its 98 out today............................

Can that control module causes the heat to be only on the driver's side?
