skid plates

so im thinking of making an awesome skid plate in conjunction with the stock bumper. not sure if its advisable. i dont want a pre-runner look with the entire bumper just the skid plate. thoughts?

I'm thinking of making my own skid plate, along with making my own Bull Bar and a mounting plate for a winch. I took measurements today. Not sure if I want to make my full Bull Bar out of thick steel or go with T6-6063 or 7075 Aluminum. I'm going to make the skid plate go all the way back to the end of the transmission and the width will be from each side of the chassis rails
