Hey, new member here

I have the load leveling option on my 2004 4wd Armada LE. The system is shot. I'd like to lift my truck 2-3". There are numerous suspension options for 2005 and up models but almost none for 2004. Apparently the rear suspension on the 2004's were changed in 2005. I called "Greg" but he's never returned any of my calls. Any suggestions?

It's all the same suspension with no changes. One option for you could be to order Bilstein 5100 adjustable height shocks for the front from ShockWarehouse.com, then order the rear billet aluminum spring pucks from PerformanceLifts.com, and just wait on the rear shocks until you can reach him. Maybe PerformanceLifts might offer the rear Radflo from PRG since they sell PRG products but I haven't seen them able to order online yet. If not you might have better luck contacting them and letting them mess with contacting PRG Greg because he is very busy and difficult to reach.

With the load leveling system there actually are differences between the 2004 and 2005-up air shocks. Build dates before 8/2004(I think) use a different shock than those after August. Not sure what the difference is or if there are other changes beyond the shocks.

Ditto to above info. There's a whole thread about which upgraded rear springs Pops is talking about. Consensus is that the heaviest duty option is all the same spring just re branded by different companies (moog, Raybestos, Nissan, Napa). So don't be afraid to price shop and double check the part number with those listed on the forum.

Damn - Seems I went the wrong route on this
I bought the Rancho Quick Adjust front and rear.
From what I am seeing, this was a stupid purchase.

I want to do a 3" lift on my Mada
I do have the auto leveling which I want to ditch

What brands or websites can you guys suggest
Looks like I will have to sell my Rancho stuff - bummer

Thanks guys that REALLY helps! Yesterday morning I stopped by an off road specialty store to have them install the exact set-up Pops recommended. They wouldn't do the conversion because the codes it might throw off. As much as I don't trust dealership, I'm going to have Nissan do the work. They actually have an off road division on property.

So basically they don't know anything about modern air suspensions. I don't see how people like that can call themselves "Suspension Specialists". I replaced the air on both the Armada and the GX470 and it's nothing more than a height sensor, compressor, and air bag. The only difference between the two is the Lexus has a separate sensor and compressor dedicated to each side and it uses air springs instead of air shocks. "Codes"... sheesh... Might as well be afraid of pissing off the unicorns.

+1.

When I removed the air leveling components off my 04, I just disconnected all the plugs (compressor, height sensor) and no codes whatsoever.

I will add Greg/PRG must be really busy because for the last 6 months, I've yet to hear from PRG regarding Radflo shocks for the rear. :|

The Rancho XLs I installed in the rear have been great but always looking to try something different.

Hmmmm. Pretty sure all the mounting points and lengths are all the same. They MIGHT have changed some minor internal parts but it all is essentially the same.
